SPECNET EUROPE MEETING
Skye were kindly invited to participate in
the SpecNet Europe meeting in July, as the manufacture of multispectral, low
cost sensors for incident and reflected light.
The meeting was held in the beautiful location of the Centre for Alpine
Ecology - Fondazione Edmund Mach near Trento in Italy. One of the themes for
the conference was the intercalibration and intercomparison of optical
sampling measurements, and delegates were able to take part in field
measurements with a variety of different instruments.
Skye's SpectroSense2+ hand held NDVI system proved very popular and received
many favourable comments, especially its portability and ease of use.
Delegates also gave presentations on their spectral and CO2 flux measurement
activities, a copy of these are available by following the link to http://conferences.cealp.eu/specnet2008
The SpecNet Spectral Network group welcomes new members who are also
modelling and validating satellite data. For more details please visit

SKYE ATTENDS
REMOTE SENSING CONFERENCES
With ever increasing interest for the new
SpectroSense2+ meter for NDVI and Remote Sensing applications, Skye
exhibited at two international conferences on this theme in June and July
this summer.
The 5th Asia Oceania Geosciences Society meeting was held in Busan, South
Korea in June. Assisting Skye were the team from Sang Woo Corporation,
Skye's Korean distributor.
We also attended the 2008 IEEE International Geoscience & Remote Sensing
Symposium in Boston USA in July. The exhibition booth was joint with Skye
and PP Systems who represent Skye in North America.
Both exhibitions were very successful and Belinda met several existing users
as well as introducing Skye products to many new contacts. The conferences
were also great opportunities to spend time Sang Woo and PP Systems. Many
thanks go to both of them for their important contributions and help.
